What is SocialThunk?

SocialThunk is a browser-based editor for creating professional social media images and videos. It combines a Photoshop-style canvas with built-in themes, animated backgrounds, and AI content generation — so you can go from idea to published post without switching tools.

Why I built it

Hey, I'm Sean Rivard-Morton. I'm an engineer with an interest in marketing and advertising — specifically, creating high-quality posts and technical demos to promote the software I build. The best way for me to learn a problem domain is to get fully immersed in it and start building.

I had experience with Photoshop, but I didn't want to pay for an entire suite and then figure out how to make everything work for social content. So I built SocialThunk — a focused editor that gives you real creative control (layers, precise positioning, custom themes, animation keyframes) without the overhead, running entirely in the browser.

Where it's going

SocialThunk is still early. I'm actively adding more export formats, richer animation tools, and deeper AI integration. Ultimately I want to advertise my software with technical demos and cool graphics — and if I end up making something that's useful for you too, then great. I'd love to help.
